MashUpFanFic is the style of flash fiction writing I publish on my blog telling the stories of characters inspired by the combination of songs.

Let me break it down...

definitions:

fan fiction - writing based on existing storylines and characters or both (primarily taken from novels, tv shows, comic strips, and films)

fan fiction crossover - writing that places characters from one novel, tv show, or film into another

fandom - the community that adores a specific work of art (visual artists, books, films, tv shows, comics, bands, etc...)

flash fiction - a style of fiction writing characterized by intensity and brevity. Usually under a page in length.

mashup - combining elements of two or more songs
